LensNew Optical BOS — Workstation Deployment

Complete workflow for deploying LensNew on standalone showroom terminals or local area network (LAN) store clusters.

Phase 01

Download Installer & Verify SHA-256 Checksum

Retrieve the installer from the Customer Portal or direct authorized distribution link. Compute the file's SHA-256 hash using Windows PowerShell to verify cryptographic integrity prior to execution:

Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 .\LensNew_Optical_Setup.exe | Format-List

Confirm that the resulting hash strictly matches the published digest on our official Release Notes page.

Phase 02

Run Self-Contained Runtime Installation

Execute LensNew_Optical_Setup.exe with Administrator privileges. The installer sets up:

  • Embedded pure-Go web engine and background processing daemon.
  • ACID SQLite storage engine configured with Write-Ahead Logging (WAL) for concurrency.
  • Desktop shortcuts and Windows Service auto-start hooks.
Phase 03

Configure Store Identity & GSTIN Parameters

Open LensNew from your desktop shortcut or navigate to http://127.0.0.1:8090 in any modern browser. Open Settings → Showroom Profile:

  • Trade Name & Address: Appears on thermal and A4 tax invoices.
  • GSTIN: Sets automated CGST/SGST (intra-state) or IGST (inter-state) calculation.
  • Invoice Prefix & Serial: Configure custom invoice sequencing (e.g., LENS-2627-0001).
  • Thermal Header / Footer: Store policy notes, return terms, and QR code for UPI payments.
Phase 04

Thermal Receipt & Barcode Scanner Setup

LensNew communicates directly with ESC/POS standard thermal printers and 1D/2D USB HID scanners with zero third-party drivers needed:

Supported Hardware: TVS RP-3160, Epson TM-T82, Posiflex, Xprinter, Zebra ZD-series, and any USB HID keyboard-wedge barcode scanner.

UBVY Pathology App — Clinical Setup & Serial Interfacing

Bidirectional serial communication protocol setup for hematology, biochemistry, and electrolyte clinical analyzers.

Step 01

Physical Cable Connection & FTDI Serial Chipset

Connect the analyzer's RS-232 DB9 serial port to the laboratory PC using an industrial FTDI-chipset USB-to-RS232 adapter cable. Verify the assigned port in Windows Device Manager:

Device Manager → Ports (COM & LPT) → USB Serial Port (COM3)
Step 02

Serial Port Parameter Mapping

In UBVY Pathology App, navigate to Laboratory Administration → Instrument Telemetry Interfacing. Configure the serial channel according to your instrument manufacturer's documentation:

Analyzer Model Baud Rate Data Bits Parity Stop Bits Protocol Format
Mindray BC-3000 Plus 9600 8 None 1 ASTM E1381 / E1394
Erba Chem-7 / Chem-5X 9600 8 None 1 Raw ASCII Delimited
Horiba ABX Micros 60 9600 / 19200 8 None 1 ASTM Standard
Roche Cobas C111 9600 8 None 1 HL7 v2.3 / ASTM
Step 03

Automated Telemetry Capture Verification

Run a sample or control vial through the analyzer. The UBVY Pathology real-time serial listener will detect the incoming transmission, parse the test parameters (e.g., WBC, RBC, HGB, PLT), and immediately bind them to the matching patient barcode worklist.

Offline Ed25519 Cryptographic Licensing Protocol

How UBVY Group desktop products achieve 100% offline security, zero recurring server pings, and cryptographically verified hardware binding.

Pure Offline Philosophy: Our software never phones home. Licences are verified entirely on-premise using Ed25519 public key cryptography. Workstations in remote clinics or secure optical labs operate permanently without internet.
Protocol Step 01

Hardware Factor Fingerprint Extraction

Upon initial launch, the application extracts immutable hardware identifiers and computes a canonical SHA-256 device fingerprint:

  • Motherboard Serial Number (WMI / DMI table).
  • Root Storage Drive Physical Serial Number.
  • Windows Machine UUID / Machine-ID.
  • Root Volume Serial Number.
Extracted Identifier: DEV-UBVY-7A85-D21A-CA4F-59F0
Protocol Step 02

Digital Signature Generation (.ubvysig)

Upon verified payment confirmation, the UBVY Group protected signing engine creates a signed canonical JSON envelope:

{ "envelope": "UBVY_SIGNED_LICENCE", "version": 1, "key_id": "ubvy_ed25519_master_2026", "signature_algorithm": "ed25519", "payload": { "customer_id": "CUST-9821", "customer_name": "Suraj Diagnostic Center", "device_fingerprint": "DEV-UBVY-7A85-D21A-CA4F-59F0", "features": ["lis_full", "serial_interfacing", "unlimited_patients"], "issued_at": 1791880461, "licence_id": "LIC-SURAJ-PATHOLOGY-2026-0001", "product": "UBVY Pathology App", "valid_until": 0 }, "signature": "z39qFm0/qH4F5qQZ...base64_signature..." }
Protocol Step 03

Instant Local Activation

In the desktop application activation dialog, click "Import .ubvysig File". The software verifies the digital signature using its embedded master Ed25519 public key and unlocks all licensed modules instantly.

ACID Database Backups & Zero-Loss Recovery

Protecting store ledgers and clinical records with atomic SQLite snapshots and automated offsite replication.

Golden Rule of Business Data: Never rely solely on a single physical hard drive. Always implement the 3-2-1 backup strategy: 3 copies of your data, 2 different storage media types, and 1 off-site or external drive copy.
Procedure 01

1-Click Atomic Online Snapshot

Both LensNew and UBVY Pathology App feature atomic backup capabilities that freeze no transactions and cause zero downtime. In the software, click System Settings → Database Maintenance → Backup Now:

VACUUM INTO 'D:\Backups\lensnew_backup_2026-10-14.db';

This creates a clean, fully compacted, and uncorrupted SQLite snapshot even while cashiers or lab technicians are actively writing records.

Procedure 02

Restoration Procedure

In the rare event of severe operating system corruption or hardware replacement:

  1. Install a fresh copy of the application on the new workstation.
  2. Stop the background service from Windows Services (services.msc).
  3. Copy your verified .db snapshot file into the application data directory.
  4. Restart the service. All past customer invoices, prescriptions, and inventory records are restored immediately.
